It was the ninth album for her career, and it was released on October 15, 2013 by Curb Records.〔 The album was produced by Bernie Herms.〔 The album has achieved commercial charting successes as well as garnered critical acclaim from music critics.

The album was released on October 15, 2013 by Curb Records, which it was produced by Bernie Herms, and it was the eighth studio album for her career and ninth album overall. The lead single from the album entitled "Hurricane" was released on June 4, 2013 in promotion of the forthcoming album. Closer to Your Heart was released as the second single from the album on January 20, 2014. Grant released a music video for "In the End" a day before the album was released.
